Wedding Saving Made Simple?

Now hold on, hear us out. Way too many people have been grown up feeling like you have to splurge for your wedding. But what happens when you don’t have that much? Does that mean you’ll have to cancel? I’m sure you’ll agree with us that the answer should be no!

When it comes to your wedding, what really matters is the love between you both. Well, that and a great wedding photography/videography company, but if you message us, you’ll already have that covered (Wink).

It might not even be that you don’t have the money. There are so many important things you could do with the extra funds. Plus, we’re in uncertain times and having some savings is a good idea. Well, whatever your reasons, the fact remains that you can save money during your wedding planning process. In the following paragraphs, we’ll share with you some ways how.

1) Have A Smaller Wedding

With the pandemic raging, you’ll probably have to anyway. A smaller wedding would be more romantic, safer and you’ll spend less. Say your vows with only those nearest and dearest to you. Your wedding would be more intimate, and you can actually be yourselves.

When it comes to a wedding budget, per head costs are what rack up the amount. The more people that attend, the more you’ll have to spend. With smaller guests’ numbers, your total cost would be reduced, and you can save more.

2) Check Out All-Inclusive Venues

All-inclusive wedding venues are the best if you want to save during your wedding planning. A venue that offers to take care of your planning and catering alongside can be a godsend. You’ll spend less going to interviews and finding vendors to handle those services. They’ll also offer you cheaper packages since you’re paying for the venue too.

3) Don’t Be Afraid To Bargain

If you find that you like a vendor and their prices are too high, don’t just give up; talk to them. You never know; they might be open to striking an alternative bargain. Everyone understands that it’s been a challenging year, and people are doing their best. As long as your price is not exploitative, they could be willing to come to a compromise.

4) Use A Wedding Planner

Many people don’t know this, but a wedding planner could actually save you money. All that experience and connections they have could mean multiple discounts. Plus, wedding planners often have a fixed rate that is about 10% of your total wedding budget. So, if your budget is not too high, they can still work with it.

5) Don’t Use the Word Wedding

Like we pointed out earlier, there’s something about the word “wedding” that equals splurge to many people. So, when you say you’re shopping for your wedding, you may discover your prices showing up higher than usual. You’ll find that you’ll get the standard costs and discounts when you avoid using the word when you buy in bulk.

If you doubt us, just check your favourite makeup artist’s price for regular makeup and their wedding package. We’re sure there’s a reason for the increase, of course, but you’ll see what we mean by a higher price. So, when shopping for items, where possible, don’t mention you’re purchasing for your wedding ceremony.
